How to fix a washing machine belt Duet

The Whirlpool Duet is a front loading washing machine. The drum of the washing machine turns to saturate the clothes with water. Like the Duet dryer, a belt is wrapped around the drum of the machine and the engine. As the motor rotates, so does the belt. The belt turns the pulley on the back of the drum washing machine, rotating. If the belt is loose and worn, the unit will not turn.

You will need

  • A screwdriver
  • A replacement belt
