How to change the drive belt Amana washer

Occasionally, the transmission belt Amanda washing machine must be changed due to wear or breakage. Since this belt is constantly moving while the machine is running, it can become dry and cracked. This can be replaced relatively easily in about thirty minutes and you can do it yourself without having to call a technician.

You will need

  • A screwdriver
  • Tweezers
  • A set of keys

Instructions

  1. Unplug the power cord of the washer Amanda the outlet before attempting to replace the belt.
  2. Locate the screws on the bottom of the front panel and remove them with a screwdriver, putting them out of the way.
  3. Lift the bottom of the front panel to leave the top of the metal clips and place the panel to a side.
  4. Locate the screws on the underside of the top edge at the front and remove them with a screwdriver, pull the top cover backward so that it rests against the wall at the rear hinges.
  5. Separate the springs with a pair of pliers on the front of the cabinet on the bottom that attaches to support the engine and locate the screws holding the motor in the hanger.
  6. Delete three of the four bolts holding the engine to the support with a socket wrench and loosen the bolt just enough room so you can move the motor.
  7. Disconnect the wiring block from the engine by hand and slide the motor so that the belt is loose enough to remove it from the motor pulley.
  8. Remove the engine belt and pulley transmission desolateness and put a new belt around the pulleys.
  9. Connect the wiring block in the engine by hand and slide the motor back in the bra to add tension to the belt by adjusting the bolt with a socket wrench.
  10. Set the other three bolts to support the engine with a socket wrench and connecting the two springs in the front of the bra with tweezers.
  11. Turn the top cover down into the cabinet washer, securing it with screws under the front edge and install the front panel, placing the top of the panel through the metal clips.
  12. Sets the front panel at the bottom with screws and connect the washer Adana the electrical outlet.

Tips and Warnings

  • Always unplug the power cord of the washer Amanda power supply before attempting to replace the belt.
